I have a 2002 Accord that gives an O2 sensor and O2 sensor heater circuit codes. The car has a new sensor and when I plugged in the scan tool there is no data for the sensor. I have tested the sensor to verify output and also did a continuity check on the wires going to the ECM/PCM. I hope someone out there has an idea cause the next step is an ECM but I don't want to do that if it isn't the problem.

 

Check wiring integrity at the sensor from the ecm. Sounds to me like there is a break in the wiring.

 

I have already checked the wiring. I also checked the heater circuit and it is okay.

 

If you have backprobed the connections at the PCM and can read the O2S output, but the PCM is not registering it, then the next step would be to try a different PCM.
Of course you REALLY want to make sure it is the PCM before chucking out a few bucks for an unneeded PCM.

 

That's what I figured. Once I verified the O2 output and wire integrity it made sense that I was dealing with ECM problem. I wanted to be sure I hadn't missed something.
