i have a 00 accord special edition and recently everytime i brake i hear the left front grind..and now there's a fluid leaking from it..i don't think it's my brake pad..could it be my rotor or brake fluid leaking??..please help??

 

go jack the car up and take the wheel off and examine it so we can get a better idea of whats going on.

 

how do i check the brake fluid??

 

you can check the brake fluid level by looking at the fluid reservoir located to the right (driver side) of your engine bay attached to the firewall.

you probably need to bring the car outside to have the mechanic to check it.

i am assuming you don't know a whole lot about car.

check with your owner's manual for more info.


RED oil- Automatic trans oil
Brownish oil-motor oil OR dirty brake oil
clear/light tea color=power steering

 

chances are u need brakes... if it sounds like metal 2 metal grinding...the pads are gones...if the pads are gone u goin to need brakes and rotors...also if u running low on fluid..check master cylinder.. maybe leaking brake fluid...cuzz if its leaking...u mite not have any brakes at all..be kinda scarey coming to a red light one day and no brakes...right..
