Default OBD1 and ITB's

I am hopefully going to be doing a ITB setup soon on my C5 engine. I am wondering if it would be best to go with an OBD1 setup for optimal tuning? and if so what is going to be required? The engine is in an EG. My friend also has a Hondata in his EF hatch that was previously set up for turbo, could I make that useful? Thanks for any input.

i would say thats probably the best way to go , but if you have a good tuner they should be able to make either work

I am going to be using the 954 tb's and hoping to get inline to tune it since I live like 30 mins. away from there. I dont have a whole lot of inside knowledge on these type of systems. How do distinguish what type of Hondata the system on my friends car is? Or would I be better off to try and find one somewhere else or new?
BTW: Merry Christmas!!!
