Type R insurance in socal???
Everyone's rates are going to be different - based on your age, driving record, city, etc.
If you want to find out how much YOUR rates would be, call your insurance company or try an internet service like http://Insweb.com or http://Insure.com. They can give you a quote before you actually go ahead and buy the car.

yeah like nsxtasy says, it really really depends on your location. i personally pay around $1200 us dollars per year +/-. and being in the los angeles area does not help. i'm sure others will post up their premiums to give you a rough idea.
but best thing is to shop around by calling different insurance companies.

If it's any comparison I'm 22 with no points on license as of right now and I have progressive and I pay 241 a month for full coverage. Oh and I'm in FL so I'm sure it would be higher if I was in CA
oh mang, j00 just had to ask about this sour subject
got my yearly bill last week...
since 234 is based in LA, my bill was $2400/yr

Last year when it was based in the suburbs, it was 1/2 that. I'm 32, squeaky clean record but just b/c it's an R in LA I have to pay more. Wut's f0kd up is that if I were to switch to an NSX, my premiums would be 1/3
Oh jeah, OC addy is much much cheaper to insure than LA
y
shi - who's so ready to move the car to The OC

Why don't you try it? You'll find an accurate answer, instead of something that applies only to someone else's situation. And it will take you just a few minutes - less time than it takes to post the same question over and over again.
