this is up for my buddy he wants to know how to install a gsr dual bend shifter on a eg coupe the bottom of the shifter is wider then the stock shifter so what do i do

 

just bend the opening on the shift linkage.. and search its been done before...

I did this swap 2 weeks ago.... here is what you need to do

measure the Integra shifter with the Civic shifter and mark how much you need to take off. ( should only be on one side because one is longer than the other)

Then, you use a cutting tool ( dremel, hacksaw, die grinder, etc) and make your cut.

After, this use a sanding disk ( goes into drill) or a grinder to smooth out the cut.

Install civic shifter bearing into shifter and re-install

I had to bend out the ends of the linkage to accomodate it...I don't recommend it.

 

yea Bauley is right, if you dont want to cut and grind..you have to bend the linkage out which i dont recomend...tell your friend to cut it and grind it ( took me 10 mins) its alot easier
