I hate SOHC's...they are teh_sux

mild port, strong rods, 12:1 compression, built head with a big cam, nice intake manifold, intake, bisimotor header, 2.25 piping should give you about 160ish. I have seen 156 whp and about 130 wtq with just p29 pistons, zex stage 2 cams, I/H/E.

Save a few dollars and just boost it. You'll thank me later.

if you can build it yourself, i'd say it's definetely well worth it to build an allmotor d setup.

sure it's easier to get power with boost.
but ****, building an underdog with some cleverness and originality is going to be so rewarding it'll be well worth it!!

We got a handful of people at or around the 160WHP on n/a high c/r d-series engines at d-series.org. Its a little work, but its a good build and definately a fun build too.

User "builthatch" is at 159 WHP...I believe its a 12:1 y8, using a crower stage 2, STOCK Y8 manifold, and a good header.

And now he is stage 3 crower, with a nice SMSP header, skunk2 intake mani, along with Apexi standalone. He will be putting down some nice numbers on the 27th!

haha, I dont like "nos" personally..

unless you're a really serious drag racer,
then fawk, do what you gotta do to make power.

But sheeit.. it's so cheezy, especially in a honda.
i'd say a cheap custom turbo kit.
14b turbo, hf mani, cheapo charge piping.
you dont even need an intercooler really...
some dsm 450cc's, and uberdata.

definetely do'able for under $664
especially nowadays considering how many people have mastered the homemadeturbo setup. Theres lots of knowledgeable folk out there to give advice.
