Default Newbie B16 motor owner

I wasnt sure where to look under the search feature to narrow down my vague questions.

What parts are swapable between Type R B18 and a normal B16? Will the headers fit? I think the head will fit right? what about IM? thanks for bearing with me. Oh will ITR psitons go into a B16A?

the header, pistons, IM, and head are switchable, keep in mind ITR pistons will lower CR on a B16

Yes, but I believe it has to do with wrist-pin placement...?

If you want OEM higher compression pistons, go with Civic Type R PCT pistons.

Although, I think you need to machine off a millimeter off both sides of the rod... I don't know. There's a sticky thread at the top that explains all about the PCT's.

Very good, yes ITR's have a different wrist pin placement because of the 1.8 stroke is longer so yes they will be very close to the stock pistons as far as compression. Go with CTR much better. B16 with CTR pistons and a ITR head as long as it is tuned well will push between 170 and prolly about 185 whp.

pct is the piston code for ctr pistons.

pct = ctr
