Default My Accord broke off...

That plastic peice on the trunk broke off today when I was washing my car. Any idea how to re-glue it back on? Or to take the old glue off?

Thanks!

Sorry about the typo's...

why were you washing your accord on a truck?

Leave it off. It looks better. If you really want it back on, go to any parts store and look for the heavy duty double sided tape, and trim it to fit.

He's talking about the "Accord" emblem on the trunk lid.

options are, as already mentioned:

1) get some Goo Gone or something similar and start rubbing the glue off. the older the car, the longer it's going to take to scrub that residue off. and that's IF it all comes off...

2) get some double-sided tape or emblem glue from an autoparts store and put it back on.

i removed mine... i think it looks better without it.

Aren't they self-adhesive?

If so, you could always buy a new one for $10 or so from the dealer and put it on. Or try to glue your old one back on, or just leave it off.

thank you all.

I am going to try some goo gone and try to remove the residue. I will wait till spring, its 9 degrees here in Michigan right now and we are preparing for a big snow storm. Everytime I wash my car we get rain or snow.
