....so sadly, I appear before you all, humbled. Anyone know what the crap this thing is? it came off my 92 LS intake manifold. I'm thinking something to do with idle control. Am I right?

It's an upside down idle air control valve.

its an IAC not a FITV

The FITV is under the throttle body, not on the IM.

 

or not, lol...thought it was that thing on the back
