So last night I picked up a sweet (w00t w00t) 95 Accord LX Sedan from Waukesha, WI.
In the glove box and trunk of the car were a ish load of receipts.
Today I went thru them and logged them on an excel spreadsheat with date/mileage/store/and what was done.
As I was logging them all, I kept noticing that there were alot of "tire" replacements. After I was done, I sorted and counted 19 different tires on this car in 3 years. . .
should I be worried, or is it becaus (not to be racist but) the last 3 owners were all Indian and they likely bought the cheapest set of tires available (look at the prices-I just paid 500 for my Yoko AVS ES 100's on the MR2)
Here's the excel file

thought it's good to know that the timing belt was recently done. . .

How is that not racist? What does the ethnicity have to do with the amount of money spent on tires?
Looking at the excel page, maybe he just had bad luck with tires. The time in between tire changes is not nearly long enough for the tread to wear down.

its normal when porsche owners get new tires after 5k miles... (buddy works at dealership and sees it all teh time)......but thats wierd for a honda....id be suspiciouis
First off, did you ask the guy about the tires or why he's gone through so many so fast? If you didn't, do that. It doesn't matter if you already bought the car. It would be nice to know. Since he already sold the car he's not liable for anything so he will probably tell you.
Secondly, that is being racist. Don't say you aren't being racist when clearly you are. Ethnicity has absolutely NOTHING to do with tires. You equate Indians as being cheap? Well guess what? I'm Indian and I'm not cheap. You assume too many things when you don't know nearly enough as you should before making a comment like that.
In the future think twice before you post something like that jackass.

Sounds like a very very bad linement..
i already went trew 3 sets of tires on my coupe.... the first time those where the tires that came with the car, then they went bad withend a month, so I my grandma got me some good years...pretty good, but i had to get them replaced about 1o months after that..they where soo bad the sides where gone, and it was all the way to the steel belt..
then i got some cheap tires...they suck bad, but heck.... what can a college boy do?
it was the linement the whole time..and half my fauilt...i like to turn fast

If you notice they are firestone, and most likely when they went and "replaced them" most likely the firestone store said Hey we can replace these under the warranty and pro-rate them. So they probably thought they were getting a deal and in fact were trapped in a firestone circle that they could not get out of. My aunt was unforunate enough to own a malibu, and the original Firestone Affinity tires wore out in less than 30,000 miles, and were dry rotted even before that. So for at least one set she did the "pro-rated warranty replacement" After that she decided they were terrbile tires and just changed to another brand.
On top of the "warranty replacements" if you notice in the begining of the spreadsheet they were replacing like 1 tire at a time, and most likely keep hitting stuff or getting flats that were not able to be repaired. And you know tires guys say that they should always be replaced in sets so perhaps later on they kept on convincing them that they needed new ones?
Could have been lots of things. Just my two cents.

I had bad luck driving through construction several times within the same month and ruined a couple tires...
Maybe he just had a bad rim that was messing up one of his tires and kept replacing the tire before realizing it was the rim.
Maybe he just had different winter and summer sets like any intelligent enthusiast who lives in Wisconsin would have...
Maybe it was a commuter car, and the owner was just careful about checing tire wear and replacing tires.
Maybe he just kept the receipts for all his other car tires there too.
Maybe you are just a ******* racist bastard and are too ******* stupid to know it.
Damn those Injins.

I dont think hes being racist hes just stereotyping. and when i was a service advisor our indian customers were cheap skates, no bull about it. im not saying that you are, but most are very frugile.
as for the 19 different tires, it could be because they bought either used tires, or the cheap ones from costco or something. if not, something is really wrong...

ye man that seems liek too much. i mean even driving like a jackass on a fwd honda is wierd to burn thru 19 tires. thats unheard of. check that alignment.
What made them cheap skates exactly? I know I won't be going to a Honda dealer looking to shell out alot of money especially if I can go elsewhere and get the same type of job done for less which is what alot of Indian people do. That doesn't make them cheap skates.

one of my good friends at work is Indian (dot, not feathers) and he has a 95 Accord EX. When I told him that I thought the seller was Indian, he told me to low ball him because he said that Indians were cheap. lol!
When I was a teenager, I worked retail and on those "Clearance" sales, the Indians and Polish (big Polska population in Chicagoland) would come in like madmen.
Here's a racist joke I heard for the first time not too long ago:
Why are Jew's nose's so big?
Because air is free! lol!
BTW, I'm a drug dealing/coffee farming Colombian. . .
I'm not rasist, I hate all races just the same. . .lol!

what made them cheap skates is the fact that they werent willing to pay for the tires they needed. they wanted tires that were 4 for a hundred dollars which is impossible unless its a discontinued tire (being sold at costco or something) or if its some weird *** size. they almost always walked out. facts are facts, im persian and i know that persians haggle the hell out of people, cause they think they can do the crap they did back in the old country.

Is the car lowered, if not it may have been and he never put a camber kit on and wore the insides of the tires having to replace them often. Obviously he wasn't that much of a cheapskate if he replaced the tires that much.
I would bet on it being lowered with no camber kit and a bad alignment chewing away at the tires.

this car was never lowered. It's not that kind of a car, honestly, where money was put into it for "performance" upgrades.

I'd be pretty suspect of it. If the car is chewing up tires at that rate, it's likely because of an alignment problem. but if the car was in a bad accident it's possibble that that there is still damage in the front frame or a bent suspension component. if thats the case, the car will NEVER get a good alignment and will continue to chew up tires forever.
did you carfax it?

Carfax is awsome, kept me from buying a car that had been repaired after being totaled. The seller said it had never been in an accident.

Sounds like someone did not know how to drive... i.e. lots of curb hits, or maybe heavy pothole activity, not to mention cheap tires....
