No longer Stranded in Cincinnati, Thanks to CRX LEE
Just an update, I was stranded in Cincinnati with a dead trans on my way from Florida to Minnesota. I was contacted by Lee/CRX Lee on Saturday night and told that he had an 89 Si trans and the garage space needed to so the swap and if I could get the car there Sunday morning that he would be able to help with the work. This was news that exceded what I was wishing for. I arived with my car via tow truck at Lee's a 10:30am and started the work after sourcing the clutch at around 11:30. By 1:00 we had the trans out the clutch replaced and were enjoying a great hot lunch, and had it all finished by about 4:00. I couldn't say enough times THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH, he helped me out of the biggest bind that I have been in and I just can't possably thank him enough! I made it to Minnesota last/Monday night with no further problems, execp for helping a couple jump start their truck, on the way. So thanks to you all for the assistance and concerned posts. Now I only have the return trip ahead of me. No worries!
Thanks again to CRX Lee and fellow Honda-Tech members and happy holidays.
P.S.
If anyone needs anything while in the Orlando area let me know and I will do what ever I can to help. I have to build back up my car karma, I know I used alot up on this one.

BTW, if you're still in MN and need anything to keep you rolling or if you'd just like to have a frosty beer, I'm in the NW Burbs and my dad is the manager of a Honda dealership bodyshop.
Let me just say...again...that Lee Grimes kicks ***.

Glad I was able to help out and had the parts and opportunity that you needed. You are most welcome.
Anyone who drives a CRX, can listen to the enthusiastic babble of my 4 year old son, and play non-stop fetch with my dog all in good humor is good in my book and welcome at my home.

Thumbs up to CRX Lee for helping a fellow H-T member in a time of great need. You did more than online help. This kind of help is what forums such as this should be about. Cheers and happy holidays.

Lee gets is honestly. I bought a truck from Lee's father nearly a year ago. His father lives in southern IN, Jen and I were going to fly to Columbus OH and rent a car and drive the couple hours to his house to pick the truck up. When Lee's father heard this, he offered to meet us in Columbus at the airport so we would not have to drive all the out. Well, it snowed that morning and we found out later the sniper who had been trying to pick people off on the highways in Columbus at that time shot someone that day. He braved all this just so we would not have to drive a few more hours. Lee and his father are both tops in my book.

The success in my sig line wouldn't have happened without Lee's help, dragging a ton of equipment across the country and sitting for 13 hours straight with the headset on.

Wow, that just reaffirms that Lee roxxors even more.

Agreed Lee is the man
Sent me some misc parts for $10 ( that is all he wanted even though he could have made more on Ebay), I was thinking oh it will just be a little box, nope I got stock crx springs, sunvisors, vents, and some other misc parts. And I know my little $10 didn't even cover the shipping but Lee sent it all to me anyways.
Then I tracked him down at Mid-Ohio at Honda Challenge (east vs west, or whatever you want to call it) and he sat down and talked with us in the pits like we were long lost buddies. When I get ready to do my suspension there is only one man I will call Mr Lee. I can't wait to see him at the next event we are at.

You hooked up with Lee? Hell, that puts a whole 'nother spin on the thought of being "stranded" in Cincy...

C'mon over, we are getting nailed today by a snow storm so you should be right at home. Thanks to Giles and Evan at VIR, I remembered how much I like Newcastle Ale and it reminds me of the good beer I drank in England. Couple of Cordobas with limes in the fridge too and we are good to go.
