b18c1 crx question.
I tried to start my newly swapped obd1 gsr engine in my crx hf the other day, and I had a ground wrong. Somehow I had it hot. Then I fixed it and I can't get the car to start. It cranks up, i think it's getting fuel and spark, cause some times it sounds like a shotgun going off. But It just won't start up. Any ideas, thanks.
Like could it have blown out my ecu or main relay or something. I have checked and rechecked my dizzy wirining. I didn't hook up my IAB or my PCS, but I was told it would run w/o them.
Damn man so you took a regular ground and gave it power? Was it a main ground for the ECU or something? It's very possible that you might have fried the circuit or damaged things. Did the car run when the ground was hooked up the wrong way?
Well my dumb *** tried to crank it over, didn't run but cranked over. My friend's got a 96 gsr, I'm gonna try to hook his ecu and see if it'll turn over, cause I believe it's a p72 also. That's if I can get a hold of him, it's pretty hard nowadays.
It will only work for you if your running OBDII. All 96 and newer ecu's are OBDII, make sure not to even try if your car is obdI. The plugs are different anyway.
