timing marks for 1987 Honda CRX HF
Does anybody know where the timing marks are located at on the camgear and block for a 1987 Honda CRX HF? I found the one on the crank pulley and the block. I spun the camgear on the camshaft and need to realign everything. Need advice on how to align everything back up. As soon as possible please - have to finish today!!

i can tell you that the mark on the crank pulley needs to line up with the timing mark on the timing belt cover. the cam gear i think has an 'up' marker with two marks on either side of it that should be parallel to the head. not too sure about that one though. its been a while since i've looked at the HF. HTH
I found a web site with pics of the cam gear, but mine looks nothing like it. Mine only has three oval slots cut in it and is not stamped with the word UP on it. This is a new gear from Honda, even the old one did not have the UP on it. This has been nothing but a pain in the ****!!! I got so mad I smacked the car with a hammer.
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!! I would be mighty Grateful!!

any dots or lines marked on the cam gear???
Yes there are marks on the cam gear, the 2 lines that you are supposed to line up with the head. So your saying that the dot above the key is the top of the gear???
Thanks for the reply!!!

This is a pic of my cam gear, it has 75L stamped in it where I marked it. I also marked that dot that lines up with the key.

Help!!!!

I'm holding a cam gear from a non-HF EW series engine. It's not stamped like yours, it's cast. There's no "UP" on the other side either? The gear I'm holding has it on both sides. The ket slot is up. And those lines should be level with the head surface. Just to be safe, make sure all the valves are closed on cyl #1 (closest to gear).
