Default F-max h22a oil feed

Help,
I'm supposed to get my oil feed from the port by the distributer not the oil pressure sender right? I took the bolt out but the fitting for the line dosen't fit. Is that what the 1/8 npt tap is for? am I supposed to re-tap that port? There's nothing in the instructions about this!

the port on the rear of the head is bpst not npt...you have a choice to either retap as 1/8" npt or get the adapter. IIRC you can source a 1/8" bpst -> npt adapter from an autometer (or off-brand) guage install kit at your local pepboys/autozone/whatever.

I used the brass 1/8" bspt to npt fitting from Autometer. I think there was a guy on here selling stainless ones for about the same price.

wait, I thought it was the port on the front of the head just under the distributer.
you said it's on the rear of the head, I think I might have the wrong port. anyone have a pic?
