Default Need some Help On Building My Motor

Im tryin to build a motor for my 99' Honda Civic Si, ive got around $4,200.00 dollars to play with and i want to build a motor capible of about 220 to 230 WHP. Does any one have any suggestions on were to get a good B16 block thats alreayd done up or any web sites i can check out?

Also these are the parts ive found so far: Golden Eagle B16 Block, Bored & Honed 85mm, Line Bored with Godzilla Sleeves. The Head is a Bull Frog complet package that is bored out with a bored throtle body and intake man. the head is capible of producing 50-60Hp. Does anyone think this will do the trick?

OK, have you blown your current motor? If no, the Si comes with a B16A2, so why do you need another one? If it is blown get a B18B block and B16 head and 9.1 CP pistons, GSR cams, Ferrea Valve Train, and Drag Turbo! That will get you there and should be close to 4200! Welcome to H-T! And good luck!

Hey thanks for all the info, its hard to find good help these days. I Looked up all the parts that u said and it will run me about $4,300 thats not bad at all. I got one other question if i was to buy a B16B Type R motor would all my after market products from the B16a fit on the B16b?

Most of the stuff will fit, it may be close on the header though. We have used a b16 DC 4-1 on an LS and it was close. If I remember correctly, the b16b has a taller deck height that the b16a.

But let me ask you this...why spend all that money on a b16b? You could build a bigger, badder motor with the same money.
