Default Buddy Club 3's or 4's with C1 w/ ctr pistons???

Ok heres the deal I am looking into cams right now and I am interested in the BC, I have a b18C1 in civic coupe mos are akimoto short ram(soon to be replaced), jdm type r header, 2.25 piping all the way back to a Es Oval(2.5). I plan on swapping in ctr pistons and the cams at the same time what would be more beneficial for me the spec 3's or 4's?....also tuned with a vafc what kinda numbers could I be looking at????......for all the tight asses I searched already

Well considering all the variables I'd say 160-190 RWHP.

Variables would be BC Spec III/IV, tuner, type of dyno, temps, trueness to spec of motor, etc.

I'd recommend the Spev IVs, you'll definitely have the compression for it. You are going to need valve train too. Your also going to be looking at a 93 octane or better fuel diet. To maximize the mods you have laid out you may want to bore your TB and get an AEBS IM. Should set you back $250 for both. It'll be worth it!

so you dont think that he would get more than 160-190 whp? There is another guy in a different thread with a 1.8 liter and less compression and he got 217.

Compression doesn't always equal power. I think a VAFC would be the last route.

160-190 seems kinda low, i have the same setup but w/ crower 403s... i didn't dyno my motor but a friend did and he had 195 hp and ~142 lb torque, something like that. and this was done at fomoso with a duno brought out of a van. I think it was Church's, but yeah the only diff between my friends car and mine are intakes. I saw the graphs of the BC IV, tuned i would think you will see over 190.

* i forgot to mention that the car had a mugen chipped p28
