Default Exhaust

OK so i just got my Skunk2 Coilovers installed. The next thing is exhaust. i dont ahve alot of dough rite now so i was wondering. my friend said i can get custom piping made at like a muffler shop and then get anny exhaust tip i want and that would be just as good as a name brand cat back . Is that a good idea? If not then what compnay should i go with or what should i do(what should i get and from where)...remember i dont ahve too much money thanx...

It would be so-so at best. You wouldn't have a resonator and if it were straight thru w/ just a tip it would be loud and nasty sounding.

You'll pay like $200 for a muffler shop to do it so what you should do is go on ebay and buy a $200 catback from megan racing. Seriously I have had mine for almost a year and its awesome. Good sound, looks and performance.

the muffler shops dont have engineers that make an exhaust specifically for a car. nice companies do. so you're USUALLY better off dropping the bills on a nice cat back from a reputable company. other than that its personal opinion. look at mugen, apexi, greddy, borla, and hks

If you choose to go the custom route, just make sure to get mandrel bent piping, a resonator, and a quality muffler of your choice. But if you're not so sure, I would just say save your money so you won't regret anything.

What I was going to do was go to kteller.com get the piping kit for 215 then buy an es oval muffler and have a muffler shop weld everything up for me. Would be the cheapest and one of the best sounding routes imo.
If you have any questions just pm me. O ya get 2.5'' piping.
