Im posting this for a friend with a <U>all stock</U> 91 4dr LX. He burnt up all of his oil withen 400 miles. Refilled oil and changed filter and now the oil light remains on and the car isnt as responsive at all, its slower and doesnt run very well anymore. The check engine light isnt on but the car is holding the oil now and its been like 600 miles since the oil change. Any ideas fellow H-Ters??? Any help is appreciated!!!!

 

well the car might just have burnt RINGS check the compession on each cyl,this problem might have been caused by a clogged oil pick up tube over time the tube get clogged and starve the motor from oil which and cause rings to wear out and that leads to smoking and burning oil.

 

damn i have an oil light problem also...we just put another bottom end in the car and now the damn oil light comes on after the car runs for like 10 minutes...(not thread jacking)
