Default 2000 Accord side airbag light on???

I have a 2000 accord ex, and every once in awhile the side airbag light will come on. i notice it when i come to an abrupt stop sometimes and other times it will just come on for no provoking reason. does this happen to anyone else?? what could it be that is causing this, i'm thinking either the relay or is there a sensor in the seat itself that could be faulty???

when the side airbag light goes on, did you have a passenger? if your passenger leans a certain way, it sets off the light.

It could be the seatbelt buckle ish that needed to be replace. If SRS light shows then that could be z reason.

there is no problem unless your SRS light comes on.

the side airbag light will come on from time to time...thats just the way it works.

and yes, the manual states that the light comes on for different reasons.

it's nothing to worry about. it does that time to time. like stated above, it mostly turns on when you have a passenger in the front passenger seat and they lean too far over to one side.

It could be the faulty seat belt latch problem.
My 2000 Accord SE SRS light was on for last couple of month. It was fixed for free under the seat belt (lifetime) warranty.

SRS and Side SRS are two different things, with two different warning lights. In your case it was the SRS. In thejdmkid's case, it's the side SRS, which isn't connected to the seat belt latches in any way.

Mine does it. if you lean or pull on the seat it will come on. It just has really sensitive sensors.
