ok, my friend just did a JDM D15B swap into his 92' DX hatchback. i guess he did a shitty job or something, and now v-tec isn't hitting. he is using a P28 ECU off of a 92'-95' EX/SI engine. i ran the codes on his ECU, and i came up with:
- Ignition output signal
- VTEC pressure valve
- Fuel supply system
- VTEC spool solenoid valve
i also notice that there are 2 wires on his v-tec solenoid plug. and there is another wire comming straight out of the solenoid itself, is that normal?
if you guys could give me some input on this, then i would really appreciate it! TIA!

ok, i just did some more research and obviously his v-tec isn't working, and i now know what the problem is, but i still don't know how to fix the ignition output signal and the fuel supply system?? please heLp!
for the fuel supply problem he could have some faulty injectors, failing pump, fuel filter, or ive heard of some people say something about a gas cap but ive never experienced that.
Ignition output signal. try and swap dizzy's with the old cylinder head. if u dont have the old dizzy or if your using it. start with the basics, rotor, cap, ignitor.

thx for the input
yeah, he said the distributor he got for free from a friend was "supposidly" a v-tec one. but the holes don't seem to align right, so there is only 1 bolt holding the dist. together, that maybe the problem, i'll find out more info. tomorrow

is there a way to find out if it's really a v-tec dist.? it fits pretty tight in there, but for some reason, only the top bolt screws in, the other 2 aren't aligned all the way for a bolt to go through

About that I bought a damn vtec oil pressure sensor AND put it in before I realized that I had wired the wires BACKWARDS.....one of my first swaps (D16z6)
