i've done a lot of searching, with no conclusive answers found on here-just "MSD sucks" and "MSD rocks" threads.
okay, the product description isn't very in depth, and i've emailed the MSD tech FOUR times with no real answer(they haven't improved any from about seven years ago when they laughed at me when i asked for help with wiring a 6A on a Honder).
i want two rev limits-one for the burnout, then switch over to another for launch/shift.i could buy a 6AL and the two way limiter.but, after i buy all that and the proper RPM pills,i'd have more in it than the Digital 6 system costs.the Digital 6 description says that it has two user selectable rev limits that are adjusted via rotary dials.all i want to know is if these two limits are switched between with a switch in the cockpit, and if they can be switched while the car is running.the tech told me no-that you had to change the dials directly on the unit?!i tried to make him understand what i was trying to say three times with no luck.
anybody here have experience with this system, and can confirm that it is switchable "on the fly" via a switch?i can't see the point in having two separate limits if you can't.
THANKS,
Chris

yes the digital 6 has two selected rev limiter. one can be used as a launch or burnout limiter (requires a 12v signal to actiavate, there is a slot for this)) and the other as a rev limit on the engine.

great...so just have a switch with 12v on one side, and when on it activates the lower limit.when off,the higher limit is used?
THANKS,
Chris *who nominates b00stedbyFastrax as the new MSD tech guy*

correst if you wanted a burnout and launch limiter you would need the MSD 3 step, MSD always counts one of the limiters as a "rev limiter" on any of thier advertised products.
2 step= equals 1 limiter and 1 rev limiter
3 step= 2 limiters and 1 rev limiter
2 step= equals 1 limiter and 1 rev limiter
3 step= 2 limiters and 1 rev limiter
