I tried searching for information (I.E. hood scoop, hood vent, ZC hood). They make an insert that you put in the hood of a car(its plastic I think) and it directs air toward the short ram. I can't think of what it would be called or where to get one. Any help would be great.

well if you simply just cut a hole in your hood it may create a vacumn, and make it harder for you engine to get air...decreasing performance..

you would need a scoop to create air pressure

 

A scoop above or a scoop below(aimed at the intake) the hood? Will it decrease engine temps? Is it even worth the hassle?

 

usually not worth it..

unless your running a turbo and have issues with over heating...and then its only going to help at high speeds..

 

I don't think I can trust myself with boost so I'd better not dude, I'd better not.
