SSR Type C's
Anyone know who can import these? After a while of searching for some plain, lightweight wheels, turns out they don't sell them in the damn country! If anyone knows where I can get a set it'd be appreciated. TIA -Ryan
You can get the american versions, the SSR Competitions, from TireRack.com... here is the link. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/ssr/ssr.jsp

I wish they had the style I wanted in the U.S. I simply want a plain anthracite wheel 16x7, but the SSR folks are big into machined lips. That's why I'm searchin for some Type C's. Anybody know of anyone who carries these?

? Buy the Competitions from TireRack...and paint them if you dont like the painted lip. The ones in the pic are painted some kinda Duplicolor "GMC Van Medium Gray" I believe it was.

Actually, those were well worn white Type C's in that pic before I painted them. But WTF, if he cant find Type C's, whats wrong with getting the Comps from TireRack and painting them?
Haha I didnt realize that you were just posting the ones you painted. I thought you were just posting it without any info. They look good BTW though, dont know what SiRGodFather was talking about.

Sure....I'll drop 2 grand on a new set of wheels and then let some hobo go to town on them w/ a spray gun. If I'm spending that kind of money they better be perfect from the get go, thanks for the advice none the less.

The SSR sticker is on there yeah, painted over...my plan was to get replacement decals and put in the same exact spot. That hasnt exactly panned out though, and now they are completely covered in brake dust you cant see anything now lol.
Anyways...I seem to recall passwordjdm.com having some Type Cs at one time....you might want to try them.

nothing wrong with painting the wheels.
That only worries "all show, no go" people.
I hate the damn polished lip,
Your wheels you can do whatever you want with them.
Wheels look good, although I would have taken the sticker off.
