i put together my own muckman style SS braided vac line for my WG. however i ripped through the diagphram. seems as though someone else had this problem too. Anyone with the similar problem? i just felt if others had this problem it should be addressed.

 

I ran into the problem with the first one that i installed into a customers car. I shaved the fitting down about 1/4", and rechased the threads.

did it actually cut the diagphram ?

Yes, i had to replace the diagphram in the wastegate.

 

was this with the kit that Stan provides? If so is it necessary to remove some length from the fitting that threads into the side of the gate?
