Default VIS Cf hood

Just recently i waxed my carbon fiber hood for the first time. Anyways after i was done i took it out and drove it around. i came back parked it in the sun and the went inside i came back out and with the glare of the sun on the hood i could see millions of tiny little white speeks on the hood. i got a rag and tried to wash it off put they didnt come off.i got a buffer and tried to buff it of didnt happen. Any suggestions on how to get them off. Thanks

if the hood is old. its most likely sand chips in the clear coat. when you waxed it, the wax stayed in the lil chip holes and then dried. get 3M multi purpose adhesive remover and strip the hood down in the spots that you dont want the wax showing, and rewax, trying not to get it in the holes... if that isnt possible you might need a new resic/clear coat on your hood.

Would you by any chance have pictures of the actual hood?

i heard from some people that c/f hoods should be waxed at all. really not sure if that is true. i seen one that was actually waxed and the shine was just totally gone. looked like the clear gel coat was all gone

what if its not gel coat and its raw resin?

whoever told you that wax will BURN a gel coat is a moron.... wax is a protectant...

why do you think they use wax on GEL COATED boats?
