i have a d16z6 and the engine idles at 3000 when you turn it on and then 2000 warmed up, i swapped over a dx tb and now when i turn it on it idles at 1200 and when warmed up it goes to about 1800 rpm it smells like gas inside and the exhaust smells different

can anyone help me

 

check your throttle wire (too tight), and maybe your idle control conponents.
also do you have a small line loose or leak anywhere?

 

i checked all of the vacuum lines and the throttle cable but when i didi the swap from dx to ex the plug for the map sensor is on the firewall and the engine wire harness so i dont know which one to use

 

did you try switch between the two to see if it made a difference?
