Default Wrong intake in my car..

Anyways, I found out that the intake he put in my car isnt made for my car, made for the older civics.. well one of the vacum tubes is left open and isnt even put in the exhaust and he took part of a tube put it in the hole where the sensor goes and put the sensor in the rubber tube and tied it down so there is about 2inch between the sensor and the intake tube, and I thought the sensor was sappose to stick right down in the intake tube? And is it good for that vacume to be left open and only have one in? Will anything happen?

Thanks guys!

Sorry just got off a long shift at work.

The intake that I got was taken off a 93 Hatch Civic. We got it in my car, but here are the problems.

There are 2 vacum tubes.. There is only ONE hole in the intake tube for a vacum tube. So we only put one tube in that hole. There is ANOTHER hole for the sensor for a 93 civic but mine goes in but very loosely, so he took some rubber tubing, about 2inchs long, put the sensor in that and put that in the hole, but I thought that the sensor had to go right in the hole and have the air blow on it.

If I leave it like that, what will happen?

A pic would help, but from what I could get out of it, you should be fine.

If you're talking about those nipples on the intake near the throttle body then you'll be fine.

Thanks guys

Its an actual tube that when you press on the gas it sucks in like a vacum would.. There are 2 and one is just left open the other is in the intake.

Only other thing I'm worried about is that sensor being left 2inchs above the intake with just a tube connecting the two.

I put an obd1 d series cai on my obd2 b16. I just drilled a bunch of holes and stuck everything into the intake like it was on my stock setup.
