205 series tires on HX wheels??
Anyone here running a 205 series tire on HX wheels. And if so how does the big of a tire handle in the snow. I'll be moving to wyoming for wyotech in a couple weeks.
If anyone has any other suggestions on good snow tires feel free to post it up.

Skinnier tires cut through snow better. I think 195 is the widest you can go on HX's. Just go with the normal 185/65.

Especially if you're moving to somewhere where snow will be an issue.

i heard somewhere that it is bad to put a 205 series tire on a 14 inch honda steelie, does that apply to the hx's too?
dont go by what people have "heard". go by the people that have done it and proved that it works. i forgot the brand name of the tires my buddy is using but they are on there and have been for about 6kmiles. they dont really look weird at all. ill take pics of it tomorrow.

How will it look weird? The HX rim is a full 1/2" wider than a 14" steelie, and I've used 195s on my steelies without a problem. Thus, if the HX rim is 1/2" wider, 205s should fit without any problems. And if you think the HX wheel is "such a skinny rim," I'm afraid to ask what you think about a 14" steelie.

they fit end of discussion but they will rub on hard turns but another question for u guys they make 50 series tires for 14"s the smalliest i thought u could get was 60 series
Can someone name the brand/model that make lower than 60 series 14 inch tires? that would be very useful. All I can find are 60 series at the lowest.
I am running 205/55/14 Nitto 555r drag radials on my HX wheels right now. I have ran them at the track with the tire pressure all the way down to 12psi with no problems. I usually run the tire pressure around 20psi, sometimes a little less when I am street racing. I run them on the freeway at high speeds also and they work fine. I have absolutely no problems with rubbing. My buddy that works at a tire shop mounted and balanced them for me, so he isn't going to do that unless it's safe. If you go and check the Nitto website it says the 205 tires I have will work on 5.5 inch wide rims as well. No they don't look weird either.

If you have some steel rims I would used those with some snow tires skinny ones. Take it from me fat tires suck in snow and usually fatter tires are profmance tires witch are the wost possible tire for snow because they get hard and turn in to pretty much like plastic and save your HX rims and fat tiers for summer driveing
