Shuddering while shifting
Got an '86 CRX that just started this weird shuddering while shifting up....gears engage fine, clutch feels solid, car runs normally (193,000 miles).
It does this only when the clutch is depressed & shifting up, not down.
Any ideas???

Usually from a warped flywheel, disk, and/or pressure plate. High spots would cause the disk to catch and as the low spots came along the disk would release when the pedal is slightly depressed. Also, oil contaminated disk linings can give shudder.
Thanks, I think.....is this a gotta fix right away thing, or just an annoyance?
What kind of expenditure we looking at? This is the 2nd clutch for this multi-owner car........it's gone 6 1/2 years, one driver in those years.
Don't wanna get ripped off when I take it in for a look!
Thanks buddy! Seay
