sucks for ya but I'm with mrspeaker....

racing on the street is immature as hell.... not to mention spraying. what do you have to gain by hanging with a Cobra i mean really. He knows his car is superior to your Honda and most Honda's he passes everyday and whether you hung with him, lost, or beat him, his judgement wouldn't have changed. Tomorrow he'll still pull up beside another honda (or 15) and chances are at least 1 or 2 of them will act like fools and do the same thing you did which will just go to better prove his point. Don't be a statistic.

you probably mis-shifted due to the addrenalin rush... which could have also caused you to wreck and die... or worse hurt/kill someone else. keep it on the track.

i know the thread is dead but you have by far been EXTREMELY mature about the whole situation.... most people would have flamed anyone for saying "serves you right" or whatnot and drug it on for pages and pages trying to defend what they did. i think it's safe to say you learned your lesson... hehe....

good luck

he "raced" a mustang in a straight line, on a public street, mis-shifted, AND blew his b16. LOL.

I been on this board for a long time to know when i'll be possibly flamed. and can care less what they say. Most are trying to be self righteous in front of other members, but like i said i know the people who bitch about street racing do it even if its once or twice, so it's hypocritical. all in all the many people i know in person dont have a problem the rest i dont know or see can suck a fat one. I'm here to help on H-T. ya know. oh well.

Trying to beat traffic during rush hour or in, Hard acceleration from stop, Racing, Speeding, Back road runs, bad drivers is the same **** no matter on highway or streets. 85% of people on H-T do it. No1s perfect and everyone has the urge to be this way.

Damn, that sucks you blew your motor Chuck but you can always get another one. Everyone , myself included, has been involved in a street race a time or 2 but calling someone a ricer or an idiot doesn't help the solution much.

I'm curious as to which gear was supposed to be shifted into, and which it hit instead. Street racing kicks *** Think of it as practice for the track
