Default compression calculations...can anyone help...sgt, Mike, Mike K,anyone

endyn 12.9:1 pistons
stock gsr head gasket
b16a head milled one thousandths
bowels in the head have been rounded out by machine shop which they said should reduce compression by about 0.5...

is that 0.5 correct?

i am figuring on about 12-12.2:1 compression....is that about right?

the pistons and the head are the unknowns in this equation.
a guess would be just that, a guess and probably not very acurate

ok, i see what you are getting at, forgot to say they are 81.5mm pistons...this should help somewhat

what do you think the highest you can go and still be streetable everyday driver...12.5 on 93 octane gas?

do you think i should get a j&s safegaurd to check for detonation?

adam, if the head you're talking about is my portflow b16 one i sold you, the chambers are 44.0cc.
your pistons are 7.45cc dome

i gotta leave right now, but i can figure your compression later tonight.

yeah he said that head, but remember josh opened up the bowls a little more to reduce compression...he said it knocked it down about 0.5 due to that, but being the head is getting milled after the combustion chambers are welded back to 81.5mm that would make it 0.4 less than a stock b16a head...let me know though, trying to stay between 11.6-12.4...i want to be able to use pump gas
