Default new T1R spl muffler with b-pipe set up for ep3

I finally got the set up, but now the muffler is resting on the back part of my ep3 and it's rattling when the exhaust warms up. Anybody with ep3 run into this problem installing their muffler? any solutions?

my badz. It's not the muffler or the canister, but the pipe that connects the canister to the B-pipe that is resting on the rear end body of the car.

Could it be possible that you have the wrong B pipe. ie an RSX one instead of the EP3 one? They're basically the same, but just a difference in length.

I looked at it with my friend today and he thinks I need to go to a muffler shop and have them either band the tubing or get a hanger rubber piece that is slightly longer so that the exaust can hang away from the body of the car.

Does it rattle from the muffler or the muffler is touching somethingelse ?

We have sold quite a few numbers of exhaust to the EP3 and this is the first time I hear that it rattles.

I got it fixed today at muffler works. The service guy said that it was faulty design and he had to bend the piping. It's the pipe from canister that connects to T1R B-pipe. It cost me $20 to get fixed, but it sounds awesome. Since T1R spl muffler is so new maybe it still needs to be worked on.

it's not as loud as Spoon N-1, but it's definitely not stock noise level. With the silencer on(which is what I'm driving right now) it's really deep throaty noise until end of 3rd gear. With it off? It's up there with HKS hi-power. I didn't know I could get throaty noise with a canister, but I was wrong.

DO you feel any difference with your SPL exhaust?

Well it's aftermarket so you can't expect it to be that quiet. It's not annoying loud though, it's throaty and you can still hear music and talk to the person next to you. I don't know about 5hp gain, they look exactly same to me -- High power, SPL, sports. SPL comes with silencer and I left it on for now. You can ask Wayne from Speedstar, he'll hook you up.

Wayne is the man!

I've heard of some exhausts not fitting like that, they usually just don't mesh well with the stock hangers. My Skunk2 lined right up, but I had a friend whose Cheapo axle back didn't. Good to see it worked out semi-easily, I think I've had the longest and most complicated installs on my EP. I think I could be just cursed though.

uhm. yup. hi-power/ progress rear. bad design. still works.

w/ just an aftermarket ex. you'll loose your low end, but gain high.

as long as you keep the silencer in, it's not that loud. Just the 1st to 3rd gear the exhaust will punch, but it will quiet down once you let go of the gas. I have never had problem with not being able to hear music or the person next to me. I bought the whole set including B-pipe, so I'm not sure how it's going to sound with just the muffler, but it sounds awesome with the whole set-up.

Jaypee, can you take a picture of your b-pipe end section and your muffler?
Is your SPL muffler longer than T1R Hi Power muffler?
Mine is very long compare to T1R Hi-power muffler.
And the b-pipe end collector section has smaller piping.
