crx si fuel pressure
i'm looking at getting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and gauge for my crx si with jdm b16a1.
But i need to know how muhc pressure this thing would normally be pumping out?
aem regulator is rated for high hp applications and says its good from 20 psi to max fuel pump pressure, cost is $175 US.
b&m regulator is rated for 25-60psi for $45US.
is 60psi high enough or would it be worth while to shell out the extra $$. I don't mind paying the extra if its worth while, but if 60 psi is plenty then i'll keep my $135 thanks.

i was having some idle issues (irregular idle one dya its fine the next day its lw then high) and i according to my a/f guage i was running on the rich side.
I was hoping that and adj. fuel pressure regulator and guage would help me keep an eye on the presuure and rule that out as well as help in getting the car tuned properly.

If your having idle issues due to fuel problems, the idle problem will just not go away one day, its gonna be there all the time. And unless you have a wide band a/f system, those other gauges are just good for looking at pretty colors. Anyways get a liquid filled fuel pressure gauge and see if your fuel pressure is messed up, before you buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

on top of seeing the pretty colors you can smell the gas.
If the ignition is in the on position (car not running) the a/f guage sits at the bottom of the guage on the stoich side, it if i let the car sit, i can watch it slowly climb one notch at a time until it reaches the the last notch on the rich side.

What !?!? There is no a/f ratio when the car is off, there is no air coming in the engine.

well forget the gauge then, it was in the car when i bought it.
all i know is that i can smell the gas as if its burning rich and there is no smoke coming out the exhaust, when i look at the a/f guage it always reads to the rich side, but does bounce around pretty good.

Just by a fuel pressure gauge, hook it up and go from there. If you need to adjust the fuel pressure then go by a new regulator.
