What is up with everyone ragging on me cause I *might* want an aluminum wing. I have never seen a Teg with one, and I just asked if anyone might have a pic. I think the right Aluminum wing would look clean, and not like everyone elses stoco or ITR wing. If I did get one, I would have the center peice painted the same black that is on my car.

 

Those are pretty cool....for me to poop on! But maybe they look better when you're in Oregon, Iowa or South Carolina......

what you DONT seem to understand is FF cars DONT need wings. they serve NO purpose whatsoever.

 

I do understand the wing will serve no purpose, unless Im going like 200 mph or somthing. I just want My car to look a little more like a race car. Im not saying I definatley buying one, it is just somthing I am considering. That is why I asked for somone to post some pics, so I can find out what it looks like. The only alumium wing in my area is on a 99 4 door civic that looks VERY nice, so nice that he showed at Hot Import Nights in Seattle last year in the Focal Both (speakers, not the wheel company). I just want to see a pic of a Teg with one on it.

How easy is it to steel an aluminum wing. Ive heard its really easy and that is why ive been holding off on getting one. I was also wondering, if they paint the aluminum to match the color of my car, will it accually look like the color of my car. Like do you still wax it and stuff?? Sorry, im really stupid.

 

 

You would have a paint shop paint it. They would probably sand the part of the wing you want painted down with 400 grit sandpaper, spray it with a self eching primer since it is on bare metal, then a sealer over the primer, then the base coat (acutal color of the paint), then finanly a clear coat. Yes, you would wash and wax it just like the rest of your car.

I guess I was wrong about the Land speed records, all the cars that I have seen in mags and stuff had big ol ugly wings on them.

 

I would think that any car setting a land speed record going at that high of speeds would at least have a parashoot incase the unthinkable happens, it appears that there is no where even to mount one on that car.

BUT... I think that if you paint it like above said then it will look a hell of a lot better but at the same time I think that the RTR ITR cars from touring cup have nice styled spoilers it all depends just DONT GET A HUGE ONE!

The C-West wing is the ugliest wing i've ever seen..........yeah, but the JDM lovers who hate the APR wings will probably get the C-west one now just because its JDM

I wouldn't mind seein you come over here to NC, hell the two of us could go for a ride to Deal's Gap. Some of my family has a house in Hilton head, the Kingsolvers. But i'm sure as hell not going all the way over there, unless it's to go to the Rock for a drag event, and that's still a damn far drive. Hell you got my info if you wanna come over here.

dope...i have alluminum wing as well (genuine mugen), and 1.95 liter (83.5mm), turbocharged @ 22 street and 30psi @ the track car....am I allow to have the wing or it's too ricey still?

Haha you must be proud of that SOHC non-vtec engine of yours! with the custom painted head......Wait that's the valvecover, not the head And a lot of riced out cars do have the painted valvecover, SOHC DX engine, and Ractive components. Since Ractive is cheap ****......I'm not gonna say JDM is all this and get that, but Ractive sucks.

Edit: The Rock is Rockingham raceway. Also Deal's Gap is about 2 hours from me. Also Deals Gap is a road, 318 turns over 11 miles i think...Pretty hairy, check out Dealsgap.com
