Yep that's right. the 2004 Honda's CBR 954RR has 75mm pistons. and they are forged. But I can't find any information on them as to their wrist pin diamater, width, compression height, if they are dished or domed, and their total height.
If anybody finds this info, post it on here, this could be another alternative for us D series folk, that are searching for cheap pistons and rods when upgrading the bottom end of our motors.

yeah i looked into to this as well. most of what i could find was this. compression height=small hayabusa was .852 or somethin like that, most sport bike pistons are flat top design, wrist pin was smaller than a d series can t remember exactly think by 2 or 3mm. so buy some ls rods have em bushed for motorcycle wrist pins and mill your head to make up for the compression height and pray to god the valve reliefs are close.

 

Could you possibly be able to re-find those exact numbers for compression height, pin diamater, ect.???

 

just buy a set off ebay and take measurements it woudl be much easier. i bought my hayabusa pistons for 15 bucks

 

well the lowest i've seen them has been 85 bucks, and that's a bit much to test out my idea.

Take some initiative! JE sells 954RR pistons. Call JE, ask them for the compression height, pin size, and whatever else you want to know.

 

hmm, didn't know JE did that. I'll have to check.
