As the year is coming to an end so its time to post pics.











To keep this tech related I have some ?'s.
If you look on the floor you notice the metal and somthing thats over it (darker red). But I thought tar was over the metal in some areas and I didnt see any (isn't it supposed to be black?). Unless it was painted over then im a retard lol

The process of getting it stripped took me about 5 hours(1 person). It wasn't that it was hard, it was that I was getting stuck trying to remove things and would move onto somthing only to realize that I needed to first remove what I was working on in the begining. The hardest part was the rear seat removal becuase its so simple you think its impossible. Also I tried to remove the carpet w/o removing the center console but that was a bad idea and ended up wasting alot of time.

After striping it the dirt that acumulated inside was rediculous. I litterally had about a 1/2 inch of crap every where. I found that using a bucket filled w/ simple green and water, a scrubber and a towl to dry it with works wonders.

Yeah interior ripping out sucks *** i did mine took me like 20 mins then again I ripped mine out

I think your car was repainted and they painted over the tar

lol. I just put that picture up for a size comparison.
I was thinking about it being repainted since the cars like 4 shades of red. Thanks for clairifying.

 

I got a couple pm's about removing the tar with dry ice. I'm just going to leave it. The car gets primered today.

 

Not on topic at all but, those pics look exactly like my old neighborhood! I used to live in Yuba City CA (30 min. North of Sac).

This sucks. My mom just called me and informed me that I can't and go and see my car. Since this a part of my Christmas I can't see it untill Christmas. She told me that they just finished putting the primer on.
I just got worst feeling ever after this:
Mom "Would it be ok if I add some Motherly touches"
Me "Like what"
Mom "Like Altezas(sp)"
Me "___________"
Mom "Ahahahah"

Now Im scared lol

 

I still don't understand why people strip their interiors...
Carpet, Fabric & Foam doesn't weigh much... all it does is make for a noisy ride.

You wouldn't belive how much louder it was. It was incredible. For any one who wants to know what I would be like its similar to being inside the engine bay while driving.

I got bad news to
Just coming home tonight I got into an accident on the freeway with my moms/dad's civic. So the money I had saved up on new headlights / taillights / transmission is gone.
One of the only things that kept me stable on the drive home was my friend calling me to ask me to see if I could convice them to get a jdm front end. I post pics and a story.
