Starting Hesitation
I have just bought last week a 92 EX. It has 152K on the body and it has an LX motor in it right now with only 81K on it. Well, I have been having problems with the car starting after it sits for a few hours. It will crank fine, but it takes a few times of cranking for it to turn over.
After it does finally turn over, I have to rev the engine for a few seconds otherwise the engine will die. After it warms up it is fine though. What could be the problem? I just got done replacing the cap and rotor and spark plugs. I bought a fuel filter also that I will replace this weekend when I have more time.
Give me some other suggestions, thanks.

I have an '86 honda accord and it is giving me the very same problem. if anyone konws any remedy for this i would greatly appreciate it. i have already taken the advice of the Honda dealers mechanic and replaced the MAP sensor but his did not remedy the problem at all. on top of the problem my PGM-FI light is on im guessing perhaps this problem roots itself within the Fuel Injectors or at some point in time when fuel is being introduced to the engine. i dont know and would tremendously like to find the solution to this problem.

What do you mean by this? Are you saying the stater turns freely, and then engages and turns the engine? Or are you implying that turning over actually means the engine starts?
If the latter is true, it could be a bunch of things. You will need a methodical approach to find this problem.
You will need to do the following:
1. Check all fuses (under dash and in engine bay).
2. Inspect the coil carefully for cracks/oil or anything out of the ordinary
3. Got a fuel pressure guage? I would check the injectors to make sure they are not leaking
4. Come back here for further info if need be.

Ya, by turning over I was implying that the engine starts. I had replaced my spark plugs yesterday with some NGK 1 stage colder plugs, and it still didn;t help the situation.
I will be putting on my new fuel filter and fpr this weekend aolng with a gob of other mods from my old 5th gen that was totaled over Thanksgiving. Hopefully the fuel filter will be the problem. I will check what you stated above also this weekend.
I will keep you updated!
