Im looking at a kit on ebay that is almost complete except for piping and fuel management. The turbo is a t3/t4 50 a/r and 63 on the hot side stage 3 turbo (not sure what that means). But my question is is this turbo to much for a stock d16y8? It will include a external wastegate too.

Also it has either a 35mm wastegate or 38mm, whats better?

And finally if turbo is ok for my motor what fuel management should I use? Thanx for any help.

 

Are you looking at one of those junk kits from ss or something. I'd say stay away from that junk. To answer your question that turbo will be little bit laggy but will make good top end power. And yes get 38mm wastegate, if you plan on to update the 38mm wastegate will control boost better.
