need help
put in new clutch in my 97 civic hatch, but check engine light came on and my odometer wont read , dunno if i put the right connecters back together at the tranny? Also i bought a tachmeter witch wire do i connect it to on the distributer?

theres usually a blue wire in the fender/near the fender on the drivers side that doesn't go to anything, that is the pulse wire for your tach. Make sure your tach is set for the right number of pulses or it won't work right

Look at the top on the back of the tranny, I'll bet you forgot to plug in the speedo sensor. That or it's not plugged in all the way, that's why you got a CEL.

No need to run the wire all the way out to the distributor, but if you do it's the blue wire. Just tap the solid blue wire (there's only 1) on the harness behind your gauge cluster, left plug i believe. It's a lot easier and takes a lot less wire.
