Default Prelude header question (not like the rest...i promise)

I actually sold my 97' lude and purchased a 93' vtec. But that really has nothing to do with this. Ok i have two headers in mind, both of which are not talked about often, but, by their design, look like they should offer a good amount of performance at a low price. They are the Hot Shot Performance header, which is a 4 into 1 design, and the Kamikaze header, which is also a 4 into 1 design, although its quite a bit different. Another plus for both is they come with a 2.5 inch collecter. Here are the links, check'em out and tell me what you think.

Hot shot header: http://<a href="http://www.hotshotpe...e.....html</a>

Kamikaze: http://<a href="http://www.mmrusa.co...relude.htm</a>

if you put a gun to my head... i'd have to go with the hot shot header. i just think the design is better being the colector placement is further back and the runners are longer... but hey i'm no rocket scientist.

hotshot header is for drag only, it does not come with collector, you have to make your own.

Do you mean Flange? It says collector on the ad.

The hotshot header is better for a daily driver and looks, by design, do provide a broad powerband, the kamikazi seems to be the one you want for high rpm flow, the collector comes early and it helps scavange much better at a higher rpm.

Thanks guys, but i plan to do alot more mods in the near furtue (spring time). So do you think either would be better for a car with pretty much all the boltons, plus stage two cams, and a little bit of nitrous? Thanks again for the answers guys.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Hotshot Header will not fit on a Prelude. It is made for Hybrid applications where no front motor mount gets in the way.

On the Hotshot site it says that the application is specifically for the 93-96 VTEC Prelude, no where does it say for the H22, which is what most of the header companies say if its for a hybrid, so I'm assuming that it fits the 93-96 Prelude, not a hybrid

What makes you need a 4-1 header? Unless you have a supercharger or something I wouldn't recommend it...

i would rather have an oem header instead of that kamikaze thing, seriously. I would definitely go with the hotshot header (from those two choices). It looks like that header is $429. I would save an extra 200 and get a midpriced header instead.

Wow that was really off topic. There talking about a header not surging idle.

So why would a 4-1 header not be any good for the street?? I thought the only reaseon people didnt run them in ludes was because of fitment issues. The infamous 2point6 is running a 4-1 header in his daily driven car.

The Kamikaze one doesn't look bad, plus it's the first 4-1 Header I've ever seen for an H-series, much less the H23 as well as H22, and for cheaper than I've seen DC headers...I think I may have to look into this...
