I am about to under go a swap in my 1990 DX hatch back. I am putting a JDM B16 XSI motor in it. I was woundering if i have to get a header that will relocate the O2 sensors or, is there another way to do this. I heard that you can buy O2 sensor extenstions!! is this true? And if so where could i pick up These??
Thanks
Thanks

has anyone done this and done it right??? so it works and has never failed. Im not to good at soldering, so if i do it this was im probably gona call up a buddie to do it for me. how much longer do they have to be??
I have relocated O2 sensors on at least 30 Hondas along with countless other cars and trucks. The length of your extension will depend on the location of the O2 sensor bung on whatever header or exhaust manifold your using, you could end up with the O2 sensor in the front of the engine or behind the engine directly under the intake manifold. As far as whether it works or not, if you solder your wires together properly making a good connection than it shouldn't matter if you relocate the O2 sensor in the pipe right at the back of the muffler or at the first point that the exhaust system becomes a single pipe. Good luck with your wiring, and why waste money going to a shop when you and your friends can do the same job.

so your saying that i should just get the motor all put in and everthing. then measure how much longer i have to make the connector that goes to the O2 senser. Then just cut the wires and solder them together.

That is pretty much all that you have to do. Just make sure that when you solder your extension wires together that you make good connections and you shouldn't have any problems or get any O2 sensor trouble codes.
