Default skunk2 spring questions

I drive a 91 crx si and I put skunk2 lowering springs on it and my question is that since there is so much play in the spring when the car is up in the air that I don't think they are seating right when it gets dropped to the ground. I try to tuck the springs into the rubber top mounts so they kind of hang in the air until the car is lowered but I am not sure how good that this is working. Does anybody have any suggestions for getting them to seat properly. I know this is probably a noob question but any help would be appreciated thanx

When does that happen, when the car is jacked up?

yeah when I got it up on the lift there is enough room to wiggle the springs around I think almost an inch of play so when I let it down i don't know if they are seated in the upper rubber mount or not. It seems like they wouldn't be since they can get cockeyed when it is up in the air.

Nothing to worry about unless the springs were cut. They will settle back in place.

are you talking about coil overs? this happens all the time with GC setups but the 2.5ID springs are so small that it's really a non-issue. The inner diameter isn't big enough for the spring to really dislodge off the perch.

theyare not coil overs and I am not worried about how they mount on the bottom perch they just don't seem to want to stay centered and I think they aren't gettting properly aligned with the rubber mounts on the top of the shock tower.

Well even the stock springs have a small inner diameter which leaves little room for play so it can't be that far off. If you are still worried, how about guiding the spring with your hands while someone slowly lowers the car?
