Default New to the forum. Need some input on where to start.

I have acquired a 94 CX hatch. It is a fun little car but has a lot to be desired.

I am looking into doing FI in the next little bit but want to make sure I get my info straight.

I believe the car has a D15b8? Please correct me if I am wrong on this. I would like to know if the sohc vtec head is swapable onto this motor for starts as boosting a 70hp motor is useless IMHO.

Help me out. There seem to be some knowlegable people on this board. I don't want to buy anything untill I have a full plan. I made that mistake once before with my RX-7 and I have way over invested in it now.

So what are my options Preferably without removing the bottom end. Car has 60,000 Miles on it and I bought it as a daily driver.

Thanks,

Chris

Hey chris...
i just recently swaped a vtec head onto my del sol that had a d15b7 in it. I must say that it added an butt load of h.p. (though the head also was port and polished with a 3 angle valve job) The swap is very easy and will cost you around $400 or so probably because you will need an si distributor, timing belt, ecu, the head, different plug wires, a new head gasket, oil, anti-freeze, valve cover gasket, and exhaust gasket. Just use the search function and find all the details on how to do the swap. As for boosting i am just about to boost mine as well. The bad thing is this swap leads to a very high compression that isnt liked by boost. But with a good tune boosting just about anything is possible. If you want to save money i would do like i am doing and make a do it yourself kit which include a lot of DSM stuff and stock honda civic hf manifold with an adaptor plate. Use the search function on the site and look up do it yourself turbo kits.
