I used a gunmetal wheel paint made by Duplicolor.

Use whatever color you want.

most people use Duplicolor Gunmetal, as mentioned above. That's the color I used...

All of these are too dark to fool anybody into thinking that they're "real". The real ones are more of a chrome color with a hint of gunmetal.

In the link above on the 2nd or 3rd page there's an EG with the housing painted black. Nice and subtle. Based on what I saw when I glanced at my lights b4, its the same idea - clips and silicone - holding it together. THe problem is that the reflector behind the bulb seems to be a 1pc deal - the part that people remove and paint on EK's isn't a seperate piece on EG's. For paint I'd suggest flat black, since you'll want as little light bouncing off the paint as possible - plus you can't see the color well enough to see gun metal.

I'm still waiting for someone to try an actual spray tint so the chrome still shows through like the actual CTR light...

All the ones posted look like Ebay "blacked out" lights...

I used the DIY thread posted above, but I taped over the corner chrome part before painting. It looks a lot better. Also used Duplicolor gunmetal wheel paint.
