Heater and/or overheating problems are almost always the same thing.

Either the thermostat is bad or the coolant system needs to be bled. That's really about all it could be.

Could be a couple of things..

1) no heat= heater core

2) car over heats= coolant temp sensor/radiator bad/fan

Do your process of elemanation and you should be able to figure it out.

Do the fans come on at all if you let the car idle for a while and the temp guage gets at the 1/2 mark?

all right first i have a few questions for you

is the car overheating

is coolant level full and system bled

is the climate controls manual or automatic

does it blow cold or hot in cabin when blow motor on

due you have water in your passanger side floor board

these might seem stoopid but i'm not there to see; so what can you do?

yeah my car is supposedly running hot but its cold as **** and idles all crazy and stuff and will jump from about 900rpm's to 1500rpms and back down and then idle right...i believe i have an intake hose busted or dry rotted i checked and i do have coolant...i changed my thermostat because it was running hot, and when i was running no thermostat my car didn't run hot unless i left it setting just to idle and when i started to drive it, the temperature would go down to a little under the halfway mark.

alright i replaced all my hoses, i had a few that were busted, i thought that was the problem...as to the question about my radiator working im really not sure my car really never gets to the halfway mark...it sits a little under it, and my car having water in the passenger side floor what could that have anything to do with it?! please tell. i put all new anti-freeze in my car (the half water/half anti freeze) and let my car run for a while and it still blowing cold air out..so im pretty sure its gotta be the heater core or the radiator....

also my car is no longer running hot

your passenger side got wet right? there is your answer. you either got a leak at or bad heater core.

it seems you dont maintain your car all that much. you had a series of things wrong with it, making it harder to pinpoint a problem.
the most likely cause of coolant in the cabin is your heater core and that makes sense since you dont have heat .

my passenger side didn't get wet from a leak, it got wet from the window rolled down, thats where i couldn't make the sense of what you were talking about...i haven't checked the wires to my heater core thats a pain and i have been working alot lately, im pretty sure its now either bad radiator or heater core..ill keep you posted

a noob huh???.. ive been here since 02.. tuning cars since 97.. which means ive been working on cars longer then you been driving. my account was lost when i closed a email account. so keep your mouth shut about "NOOB" ****.. your the moron that left the window open..talking about "my carpets wet?!?!? whats wrong????" whos smarter now NOOB?

let me give you a lesson "noob"... the 1st rule of tuning is to have a car run at its optimal condition. ie. doing your ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, that means when you open your hood for anything, like changing your oil (or in your case add some new bling)you look at all the connections and hoses making sure its all good. thats just easy **** and it doesnt cost anything. and your car will love you for it.

but your NOT a real car guy. youre an idiot with a shitty-put together civic.

i had a similar prob. that I FIXED myself.. it would have been hell for me to pinpiont the problem if my car was as... how do i put this nicely "SHITTY" as yours.

so okay noob lets start again.. your car is having problems cause you dont do the necessary things to keep it running right.. so what i said wasnt a miss.

i hope you dont fix your car and you sell it, so you can get your mad tiite 240sx and go to their forums talking about "my car doesnt drift right!!"

and always remember my NOOB friend BLAME IT ON THE ARCHER NOT THE ARROW and remember to ROLL UP YOUR WINDOWS. NOOB!

haha. i knew youd take time to come back with a semi-smart comment, with no tech to help you out. good job loser.. haha..
i gave you some real advice for not having a broke *** car and thats what you come up with. good one buddy. get a life. you need a ferrari with a ***** that small. now go get your broke *** car fixed and come back when you can keep your girlfriend warm in your POS car. o i forgot, losers with cold *** civics dont have GFs. have fun driving alone asswipe. take my ******* advice and get your heat fixed. dont be such a stubborn headed ******* and keep track of your car. make sure your very visable rad. hoses arent cracked and keep your windows up. check your heater core dumbass or at least bleed the cooling system correc tly so your mom isnt so cold when you take her to the welfare line.
and you started this asswipe. take everybodys advice and apply it with your prob, im not a ******* noob i know wtf im talking about.. it doesnt take a rocket scientist to look in their engine bay. i know a REAL tuner will atleast look at the overall conditon of their own car. now get typing cause i know you got some more ricer comments coming from you. why not fix your hooptie instead of calling people that know what the **** their talking about noobs.
