i im looking on ways to improve GAS MILEAGE.

i have a car that has an obviously small intake manifold, throttlebody, small exhaust and has only8 valves. this motor was obviously designed to make peak power and torque quickly, and near idle rpms (actually~2k)
i want the car to get better gas mileage, but i dont care about power output.

i was wondering if running lash a bit tighter (it has roller rockers)
or perhaps a nice header (SMSP) would improve fuel economy?

or should i try to decrease the amount of breathing it can do?
smaller TB, or try lossening the lash some.

also internals, like coated pistons, heat coating on the exhaust manifold, crank scrapers....

what else will improve the efficiency and gas mielage of this motor?
