WTB - D15B2 - DPFI DX Civic Motor - Good Condition
Here goes:
I'm looking for a D15B2 - that's right, the bastardized, hated, slow-*** engine that comes stock in 88-91 Civic DX's. I know tons of people swap larger or better motors into these cars, so somebody out there has to have a D15B2 sitting in their garrage taking up space and getting on their nerves.
My daily driver is an ED3 DX. The motor is on its last leg right now. I'm looking for a D15B2 to swap in for the time being. Here is specifically what I'm looking to get:
*D15B2 Complete Long Block - No missing sensors, not disassembled. I want block, head, oil pan, internals, intake manifold. I don't need the exhaust manifold, but if you don't feel like taking it off and aren't going to charge me for it, I'll take it.
*I don't need the transmission.
*Preferably looking for one that was known to run good before it was removed. I'm talking no smoking, sputtering, erratic idling, or any other problems.
*Looking for honest seller with good feedback vouches.
*I'd prefer somewhere close in the southeast where I could drive to pick it up, but if you've got one you're willing to unload for the low low, I'll pay to have it shipped.

Nah, looking for stock drop in replacement, thanks though!
I think I found one locally...I'm going to look at it this week. Kid says I can have engine, tranny, ecu, shift linkage AND pedal cluster for $100.

I have one in Eastern NC I'll sell for $75. It ran great when removed. I have the complete long block and the intake manifold sitting around also. The engine had around 12XXXX on it when removed. Le me know if you're still interested.
