Other than the cost of the wastegate is there any benefit/problem going with a 38mm or 44mm wastegate? Does the wastegate need to match the HP of your setup or could I go with a larger one if I wanted to? I'm worried the larger wastegate may not work as well if I'm not pushing the HP rated for the 44mm. Thanks!

are you talking about WG or BOV.

I have not seen any 38mm BOV or 44 BOV. They are however tial wg in that range.
