as far as drivability you will be fine as long as you get somewhat of a low profile tire.

as far as looks it will be ugly if you don't lower it and most people here will still hate it even if you do lower it

205/40 tires are the right ones for a 17" wheel, although they are larger diameter then stock for 92-95 Civics. Perfect size for 96-00 though. You'll be fine anyways, no worries, try using an Eibach ProKit, like 1.3" drop and smooth riding.

Most people these days can't get enough of tiny wheels, which is fine they are usually light and help you accelerate a little quicker. I sold my 17", got 15" but I got tired of the 15" thing and just ended up with lightweight 17" again.

Use a 205-40 tire and you should be fine. Is your suspension stock?

17"s are cool, you won't have a problem with rubbing if you get the correct tire like stated above, i have 17's on my 97 ex with 205/35 tires. work great. just need to lower it a bit now.

yea hes right, you will definatly be in offroad mode without lowering it...i have 205/40/17 on my hatch and i have a 3.5" drop all the way around on coilovers and it looks really good....and BTW noone should hate it unless you screw up lowering it and make it ugly, or they **** monkeys

Yes, if you live in an area that has perfect roads, meaning ABSOLUTELY NO POTHOLES/IMPERFECTIONS. I had 17's on my civic, and trust me, you'll feel every little bump.

It will be fine, just get the correct tire size and offset so you don't rub. Personally I wouldn't go over 16's on a civic, and if it was my civic I would go with 15's.

I would say expect to lose acceleration.

My car is a lot quicker with the stock wheels on then the 17's

my girl has a 95 civic with 17's on it and she has no problems with them. Does anyone know the best springs to put on it because it looks kinda high. She doesn't want it slammed since she uses it everyday but a nice drop is what she wants.

Tein S. Tech

You can get them for about $130 shipped off of e-bay.

I was going to go for the Eibach pro-kit springs, but i'm glad I didn't because with the Tein's you get a little more drop, but it's not enough to the point you have to worry about scrapping or rubbing at all. Only thing that scrapes a tiny bit once in a while is my muffler on my Tanabe cat-back. It hangs very low.
Other than that it's a good stance. It's 1.8" in the front and 1.7" in the back for 92-95 civics.

How's the handling with those springs? pretty neutral? still pushes? or oversteer?

I just sold a 94 civ 4dr with 18 konigs and it looked sick because it was sitting on the lip of the rims it rubbed a little when you turning but it was not for the begginer. If you lower your car, consider ride quality as well, I sell tuner cars, honda/acuras only. all my cars are lowered ( the wright way) when i sell them they look like german turing cars. The more its slamed, the better it looks but the worse it rides. IF you dont know how to drive a lowered car very well dont go to low because you wont even know how to get in your local Mcdonalds with out ripping your fenders out.

As far as handling they are definitly a big imrovement over stock. A lot less body roll & dive & squat. They also aren't extremely stiff, which I like because I don't do any serious cornering like auto-x or anything. So basically you will still have a smooth ride, but get the benefits of a lowered center of gravity.
