I was driving to Borders with a couple of friends to grab something to drink in order to aid my studying for my very last final exam when the ultimate cliche occured. A young asian female driving a gigantic menacing SUV drove into the back of my baby. What adds to this ultimate cliche was that she was on her cell phone. A peace officer, awaiting a left turn, witnessed the whole accident and pulled over to interject his help. There were no injuries, but my back end looks "damaged." I was so stunned about the whole ordeal that I was not even angry. I was rather complacent and did not even cry, well a tear did fall. The girl admitted to fault, we exchanged information and we continued on our way.

When the whole situation finally settled and I started to realize what had happened, I became depressed. I could not concentrate on the material for the final and thus went into the final ill-prepared. To say that I bombed the final would be like saying that New York is small.

After the final, while walking down the stairs to my injured car, I tripped and landed on my new Ipod Photo. There are now scratches on the screen and thus capped the ultimate worst day of my life.

 

Sorry to hear about that man. I know how a bad day can just keep getting worse. When it rains it poors.

took my final exam today, trust me there are worts things that can happen....so be glad ur ok and not under the suv... the car can be fixed.. so no worries and you know it wasn't a hit n run...so it should be taken care off.. dont worry focus on ur school n exam, you can always buy a new r once you've got ur career up n diggity... cheer up n good luck on ur final

It could of been worse. You could of been seriously injured and/or you would of not made your exam. Material things can be repaired. You on the other hand are human. Take care of yourself and good luck on your exams.

 

yea exactly...things can always be worse or have the potential of getting worse
lets all be thankful for what we have and that we are alive
its a rear bumper...it can be fixed and it will be...and the ipod photo...can be fixed with some toothpaste (cleans scratches on glass right good)
sweating the small stuff is a waste of time

the car = no biggie... thats why we pay 2k a year...

the ipod = id be f-ing pissed, those things are like $896 bucks.. i HATE scratching my electronics... cell phones and such...

i must say that is a "worst day evar" .... will you still pass the class though?? i hope you didnt have a C before the final..

I am grateful that I and everyone involved were not severely hurt, but that is not to say that I am not depressed over it. I worked hard for my car, my ipod, and my class. But one day messes it all up. There are worst things that could have happened, ie. my house burning down a day after Christmas my senior year.

I am pretty sure many of you have been through worst. But in my life, I would view today as being among the worst. Not only does my pride and joy become damaged, but my future is at stake. Like i said, the accident just annihilated my concentration. I could not continue to study after it nor could I adequately concentrate on my final exam. I know the car can be fixed and a new ipod could be bought; but if I fail my class, my gpa is screwed.
